I personally recommend Monster.

Tenma, a renowned neurosurgeon is famous for his flawless skill with a scalpel and numerous successful operations deemed to be impossible by even the best surgeons. One day, Tenma encounters a dilemma where he must choose between saving a dying patient or operating instead on a VIP patient ordered by the director and which could boost his reputation and fame. But isn't a doctor/neurosurgeon's role (at least the morally correct one) is to save lives and that all humans are equal and deserve equal treatment? Tenma certainly believes so and opts to operate on the critically wounded boy opposing the director's orders. However, this boy turns out to be more ruthless and incredibly evil than one could even imagine. Tenma is once again driven into a corner without a definitive answer to escape this perpetual nightmare: Was it really the correct decision to resurrect the devil?

Join Tenma as he struggles to identify himself (as a dutiful doctor or a a pawn for the the director and his greedy motives) and the terrible and uncanny mysteries about this monster as well as the underlying secret about humans and their greed.
